Perfect Fit

Hi Everyone,

I have another card made using an image from the set Posh N Trendy from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.  I think my favorite is that of the dress form and it was just what I needed to make a card for my friends birthday.

I paper pieced the dress form and then added a skirt using lace and some pearl embellishments.  Not sure how I feel about it, because it hides the darling form so much.

So here it is without anything...What do you think?  I would love if you left me a comment with your choice.

The sentiment is a traditional stamp and I loved using these papers with a sewing theme.

Here is a closer shot...

And a view of the entire set of images...

Thanks for stopping by to check in on me today and be sure to visit Lindsay and the rest of the design team for lots of great projects!

  1. Hello Karin,
You have made a wonderful card. I prefere the one with the lace and pearls. Those items make it just that little bit more special. And those buttons are a nice accent.
    Greetings,
    Karin

  3. Thanks for playing along with The Altered Alice! I like both versions. Maybe a compromise, like a belt of ribbon and lace around the hips? More embellished than the plain version yet still revealing the lines of that awesome freeze form! Either way, what a great card that any friend would be pleased to receive.

Thanks for becoming my follower... am so glad!

  5. You can definitely see the benefits of both Karin, the lace adds a wee bit of romance and feminineness to it yet the second is beautiful without the lace.

  8. Love 'em both, but I'm a CAS girl so I tend to like the unadorned card a tad more. I love the feminine form in this set, too!!

  11. I love the plain one. Even though I am a huge pearls and lace fan, I like seeing those nice mannequin hips haha!
