Hi Everyone,
This has been a long time in the making, but the day is finally here! It's the first blog hop of the new year, with all the things we love from Sparkle N Sprinkle.
The theme is both Art Deco and Love and Valentine's Day, so I know there will be a wide range of sparkly stuff for your viewing pleasure.
Now if you arrived here from Marie's blog, you are on the right track. If you didn't, start at the beginning of the hop at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog. That's where you can find the details on all the prizes up for grabs on this fun hop! Yes, of course there are prizes, so leave lots of comments along the way!
I chose Valentine's Day as the theme for my blog hop cards. The stamps I used for both my cards all came from the set named Love is Sweet (#401). The cupcake was embossed with Clear Detail (EP280)embossing powder before coloring it with Copic markers...
And I used Sparkling Snow (G1003) glitter on the wings of the cute love letter.
I used a bird punch for this second card and embellished them with Firecracker Red (EP291) embossing powder and Carnation (G1028) glitter.
I know there is a lot to see on this blog hop, so if you want more details on these cards, you can find specifics in my gallery at Sparkle N Sprinkle.
Next up on this hop is Jessica and I can't wait to see what she's showing off today! If you need it, here is the entire blog hop list :)

Your cupcake looks good enough to eat!!Beautiful coloring!! Your love birds are stunning. Love that they are so glittery. 2 fabulous cards.
ReplyDeleteI love the coloring on the card. Are those tiny wings material? Amazing!
ReplyDeleteBoth those cards are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are both very pretty. Love them both!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the love birds:) Love all that sparkles:)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards. I really like the unconventional coloring of the first card. I have a special place in my heart for that cupcake stamp.
ReplyDeleteKarin, both cards are so pretty. I like your use of non traditional colors on your first card.
ReplyDeleteKarin your creations are so beautiful and i love your choice of colours and papers xx
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo on the cupcake card - and what a unique idea of embossing the image with clear embossing powder before coloring! I'm intrigued with that.
ReplyDeleteKarin these are both wonderful. Love the letter with the sparkly wings, the puffy hearts and the sparkly birds. Love everything about them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards!!
ReplyDeleteReally nice cards Karin. Love the sparkly birds on the red & white card. The first card is my favorite though. Such a beautiful choice of colors! Soft, but so colorful & warm feeling! The puffy hearts are a really fun touch too (got a bunch of those laying around here somewhere myself lol!) Great cards!
ReplyDeleteI like the many details on your dove card.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cards! I love that you did not use the traditional valentine colors on the first one. I love the lace and hearts. I love the glittery birds on your second card.
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage look you created with that cute cupcake...your papers are awesome. Those love birds are just gorgeous, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the cupcake and how you added the little winged letter at the bottom! Scrumptious!!!
ReplyDeleteThe more I look at the bird card, the more things I find on it. It has so many fabulous layers and elements! AND - my favorite - lots of glitter.
These are both so sweet! I love the wings on the envelope fussy cut!
ReplyDeleteTwo very unique cards, Karin! Those birds are super darling - I'm enjoying their sparkliness and kissy manner on the card with the XO on top. I wonder how birdies hug? Really a SWEET card with the variety of layers and texures. Your cupcake card leaves me baffled. Does the clear EP provide texture to the copic coloring which is not easily captured on camera? I wouldn't have thought of doing that. Did you cover your heart embellishments with fabric? LOVE the untraditional Valentine colors - such a vintage feel with the contemporary elements!
ReplyDeleteI love the look at feel of both cards. The vintage look of the first and them a more whimsical second card. The colors are amazing on both.
ReplyDeleteSome seriously fabulous sparkle, Karin! I love those birds and the cupcake is delish. The sentiment on your cupcake card is fantastic! Super sweet cards!
ReplyDeleteOh my! What a beautiful couple of cards. Your coloring, use of glitter and different materials use make them stand out. Really impressed!
ReplyDeleteI love the birds and their sparkle! Super cute cards! The cupcake looks yummy!

Your two cards are very different and both are beautiful. Think my fav is the love birds. They are so sparkly and just the right amount of gushiness for my taste. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your embellishments.... The fussy cut is great and the color of your papers compliment the cupcake. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely yummy cupcake card you made. So perfect for a Valentine. And, of course, the love birds are always Valentine material. Your papers and glitters and embellishing of both are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAdorable cupcake stamp, Karin, and I love the papers you used! Wonderful lace and hearts. The birds are so perfect on the second card and both the EP and the glitter just make them. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove the patterned papers and lace with ribbon. It so adorable!
