Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Christmas in July

Hi Everyone!

DRS Designs is sponsoring the challenge this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  All month long Tuesday Morning Sketches is celebrating their birthday with prizes and their favorite sketches and this weeks theme is Christmas in July...

This is the sketch I used for my card today...
I
and I used the following stamps from the DRS Designs catalog to make my card today.

The base is embossed with ornaments to tie in with the ornament stamp, and the ornament hanger was paper pieced.

If you would like a chance to win some stamps from DRS Designs, head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and make a card using your favorite sketch of theirs!

Other challenges this card is linked to are as follows:
2 Sisters Challenge-Christmas in July
Drunken Stampers-Christmas in July
Polkadoodles-Christmas in July
Stamptacular Sunday-Christmas in July
Artful Inkables-Make your own background papers

Thanks for visiting me and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Everytime I see these cards, I remember that I really need to get started on some Christmas creations or I'm going to be in the same bind that I was in last year and just say 'to heck with it' again =) Beautiful job, Karin! Your sponging is fabulous!

Beautiful card Karin, I love how you pieced the ornament. That lay out works perfectly with those 2 stamps very clever! ~Diane

Hello Karin, what a beautiful card you have designed. Love the shading you did. I am envious of people who can do that. I've tried and it's just awful!!

I love the story about your name. My sister Karin had/has the same issue.
