Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

At the Beach with Sparkle N Sprinkle!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle At the Beach Blog Hop!  If you arrived here from
Cammy's blog you are in the right place.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning so that you don't miss out on anything.  Be sure to leave a comment on each of the blogs, and that will ensure that you are in the running for lots of great prizes :)

My first card was made using the sea shells from the set Tropical (#158) and a sentiment from Beach Babes (#473).  I was inspired by all my visits to the beach as a child, when I always looked forward to combing the beach for shells.

I used the always fabulous Sticker Paper (#99558), punched some scallops and coated it in various shades of gorgeous embossing powders to simulate waves.  Each shell was also made with embossing powder &  1/2" Tear-ific tape coated in Sparkling Sands and the background was made using those same shells simply stamped in Versamark.  All of the specific embossing powder colors I used can be found here.

My second card was made using the super adorable Molly(#3677-473N) from the set
Beach Babes (#473). How cute is she?  I wish I looked this adorable in a bikini...lol! She was colored with Copic markers and I added a glittery flower made with Jasper Blue Velvet Glitter (#GM2012) and Celestial Glitter (#G1031). Again, specific details can be found right here.

I'm keeping it brief in an effort to move you along quickly to the fantastic blog of Brigita!

Thanks for hopping with me and have a great day!

Blog Hop Time

 Hi Everyone,

It's Sparkle N Sprinkle's "My Favorite Technique" blog hop, and I'm thrilled to show off my cards.  First off, you should have come here by way of Barbara, so if you didn't, please start here so you don't miss out commenting on anyone in the hop.  That way you will be sure to be in the drawing for a number of fantastic prizes :)

Both of my cards today feature Paper Piecing.  While I don't know if it's my favorite technique of all time, it sure is one that I enjoy doing because I really love the end result.

Here I used some of my background paper on the bunny's dress.  I think it really pulls the whole card together.  I also added a die cut flower made from Sticker Paper (99558) and Shell Pink (#G1022) and Evening Glow (#G1086) Glitters, along with a
1/2 strip of Tear-iffic Tape(#SAT04). The bunny is from the set
Star Bunnies (#214) and she's such a cutie!

I just loved each and every bunny in that stamp set, that I had a hard time choosing a favorite, so I just went ahead and made a second card with a different stamp from the same set.  This time I paper pieced the dress using Sticker Paper (99558) coated in Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter (#GM2000) and colored it with a Copic marker to match my patterned papers.  The sentiments for both of these cards came from the set Just for You (#444s)

As always, step by step details for both cards can be found in my gallery here.

Thanks for doing the "bunny" hop to my blog.  Next up is the always fabulous Jackie, and I'm so excited to see what's she's made myself :)  Have a great day and the entire list is below, just in case there is a hiccup along the way!

Monochromatic Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop! The theme for this hop is monochrome, so let's get right to it.  You should have arrived from Shona's blog, but if you didn't, please start here so that you can comment on every one's blog, and be in the running for some great prizes!  Woo- Hoo!

Both of my cards today feature digis from Michelle PerkettSparkle N Sprinkle carries her designs, many of which come in both rubber and digital :)

This first card is super simple.  I printed out the Bloom, Grow Live digi and changed the ink color to a pink in Microsoft Word.  I then added glitter and colored only the butterfly and cut the image out with my Nestabilities die.  I made my backing paper using Sticker Paper, Waterscape Glitter and an embossing folder and finished it off with some felt flowers and gems. I love me an easy card sometimes...lol.

Next up, Lucky the Leprechaun was colored with my Copics, and since Sparkle N Sprinkle has many different green glitters, I decided to show them off gradient style.  I added strips of 1/2" Tear-iffic Tape and began with the lightest green glitter and ended with the darkest.  I layered him onto a Champagne glitter covered scallop and completed it with a sentiment from the set Just for You.  Would you look at him...He may be the cutest Leprechaun ever. If he's not, he's definitely the
 glittery-est!

If you need full card details, they can always be found in my gallery here!

Ok, that's it from me, but you have one more stop and that's our fearless DT leader BRENDA!

Thanks for hopping with us, and the full list is below in case there is a hiccup along the way.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Blog Hop Time!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog hop, where we are featuring cards with "Fancy Folds".

If you came here by way of Anne you are in the right place.  If not, you will want to start at the beginning, so you don't miss out on anything.  As usual, leave a comment for each person and you will be in the running for prizes galore :)

My first card has a fold so fancy, it's not even a fold..lol!  It's called a Hinge Top card and I made it using the set Sew Fabulous (#461).

This photo shows how the top is attached with a brad and just swings up to reveal the empty spot underneath for your personal sentiment.

And a close up shot of the Silver Detail Embossing Powder (#EP257) and the Gypsy Red Velvet Glitter (#GM2005) that I used on the mat.

My second card share uses the new set Abby & Walter's Birthday (#476), and I made a Z-Fold card with an adorable sentiment I just love.  It doesn't even have to be a birthday card...Who couldn't use a little happiness on a bad day, right?

As always, you can find all the card details by visiting my Sparkle N Sprinkle card gallery.

Your next stop on the hop is April She always has a great technique to share and here's the list of participants, just in case there is a hitch along the way ;)

Good luck and Happy Hopping!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Wonderland Blog Hop! If you hopped here by way of Anne, then you are in the right place. Otherwise, you might like to start from the beginning at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog, to become eligible for 6 fabulous prizes!

My card shares for the hop today were both made with digis.  Yep, Sparkle N Sprinkle has a whole line of digital images by Michelle Perkett now.  How cool is that?

This darling Snowman with Heart (100) was colored with Copic Markers and a layer of Blizzard Beach Mudd Puddles was added for a crunchy snowy embellishment.  I also added some Sparkling Snow Glitter (G1003) before the Mudd Puddles dried, and a bit of bling to the heart too.

My next card features Buddy the Christmas Pup (017) and he's just too sweet in his holiday sweater :)  He was fussy cut and layered onto an embossed cut out of Sticker Paper layered with more Sparkling Snow Glitter (G1003).  I also used Sticker Paper for the pine branches which were made with the Velvet Glitter in Luau Green (GM2004).  My punched button embellishment was made using Winterberry Embossing Powder (EP411) which was a perfect match for Buddy's sweater!  Sparkle N Sprinkle has colors to mach everything! lol!

As always, full details can be found in my gallery at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Now, on to the talented Debi for more holiday inspiration!

Happy Holiday Hopping!

Christmas in July Hop with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Christmas in July blog hop!

If you hopped here by way of Marie, then you’re in the right place! Otherwise, you might like
starting from the beginning at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog, to become eligible for one of the FIVE great prizes.

Both of my card shares for the hop use stamps from the set named Christmas Flamingo ( #343)., which is on sale this month too :)   I added some pink glittery snowflakes, (made with Sticker Paper (99558) and Shell Pink Glitter (G1022)) and some seam binding ribbon for embellishments.

And this photo shows off the Waterscape Glitter (G1108) I used on his santa hat and the embossed sentiment using Sangria (EP420) embossing powder.

This snowman reflects how I feel after the new year...lol!  When the holidays are over, and we are knee deep in snow and freezing temps, I want to head south too :)

Here I want to highlight a cool new product named Mudd Puddles, being carried at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I used Blizzard Beach for my snow, and it added a great bit of grainy texture to my card.  Easy to use too, just scoop it out of the jar, put it where you want and let it dry. Comes in loads of colors as well.

Full details for both cards can be found in my gallery right here.

Do you love glitter, stamps and embossing powder?  If so, Sparkle N Sprinkle is having a DESIGN TEAM CALL Check out all of the details here.

And a personal thank you and shout out to my friend Cheryl, I finally got around to using some of the paper I won in her giveaway awhile ago....I especially love how cute the pink non holiday paper looks on the first one!

Thanks for visiting and remember to leave a comment to be eligible for a prize...Three of the prizes will be chosen from among the comments on the DT blogs....

The next stop along the hop is Angie and below is a list of the blog hop order, just in case there is a glitch along the way.

Hambo "Channel Surfing" Blog Hop

*If you are here for the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop, please scroll down...*

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the "Channel Surfing" Blog Hop sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict TV show titles. It might be our favorite show, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Deborah's Blog,  you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!
A prize will be awarded to one participant whose TV-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way.  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, May 23.
My card today was inspired by The Andy Griffth Show.  It's a favorite of my husband's family and he and his sister can quote it, like I can quote The Brady Bunch.  Anyway, Wee Henry Fishing reminded me of the opening credits of the show, with Andy and Opie walking to the fishing hole.

Are you whistling the song yet?

Of course the show was in black and white and didn't have a big creepy fish in it.  I swear it doesn't look that bad on the card in real life...Maybe it's the googly eye that's freaking me out :)

Ok, now dance on over to Jenn's Blog for another TV show, and here is the full list just in case there is a hiccup along the way :)

Sparkle N Sprinkle Celebrating Summer Blog Hop

Hello Everyone,

The day has finally arrived!  Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Celebrating Summer blog hop! If you hopped here by way of  Charlene, then you are in the right place! Otherwise, you might like starting from the beginning at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog, to become eligible for FIVE great prizes.  There are 2 grand prizes and 3 random prizes that are hidden at 3 different designers blogs, so leave lots of comments.  You must comment on all blogs to be eligible for a prize! :)

Also, if you like what you see along the hop, keep in mind that the items on special at Sparkle N Sprinkle for the month of May are: Water, Food & Beverage and Rosiland Solomon, the featured artist.

I made this card with my youngest niece in mind.  Ever since I can remember she's wanted a green "VW Bug" for her car.  She's still in college and can't afford it on her own, but her mom and dad haven't given in.  And since it's a car that costs more than the one I drive, she won't be getting one from me..lol.

I use the set Surf's Up (455) and the VW Bug stamp (3584-455G) along with a sunny sentiment.  The Blue Jewel Glitter (G1113) was attached with 1/2" strip of Tear-iffic Tape (SAT04) and I also added some Sparkle N Soft in Sparkling Sand (SS118) under the car, to mimic sand on the beach.

This next card uses both the Surf's Up (455) and Surfin' Woody (456) sets.  What could be more summer like than an bunch of colorful flip flops?!  Each one was embossed and placed on a mat of the following matching glitters:

Blue Jewel
Dazzling Rose
Azetec Gold
Shamrock

For specific details on making these cards, visit my card gallery right here.

Net up on the hop is Brenda, and I know you will love what she has to show off!  Thanks for hopping and remember to comment on each blog, for a chance at one of the prizes!  And below is the entire blog hop list, just in case you are lost or a link is broken.

Have a great day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Flower Child Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog hop.  The design team is looking forward to sharing some great cards with you today.  As with any good blog hop, there are goodies up for grabs, so make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs for your chance at a prize!

Now, you should have arrived here from Lana's Blog, but if you didn't, just start back at the beginning at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog.  That way you won't miss any of the fun :)

The theme for the hop is Flowers and Children, so I chose to ink up the baby themed set named Baby Baily (380) for my cards today.  While it is a boy themed set, I decided that it really is versatile. I used some pastel patterned paper, and played off the pink, lavender and green.  This could work for little girls too :)  The sweet rhyme was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (99604) colored with Copic markers and I used Pear Embossing Powder (EP420) for the vertical stamped panel.

For this next card, I used my go to color combo for baby boy cards, yellow and blue.  I stamped the bib from the same set and embossed them with Ice Rink (EP408) embossing powder and created the background.  I then stamped the bib on yellow and fussy cut it and adhered it with a pop dot.  I used an Oval Nestabilities die and popped up the words Baby Boy as well.  With all the sheen from the embossing powder, a simple ribbon and button was all that I needed to complete the card.

Full card details for both can be found in my gallery at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Alright, next up on the hop is April!  (Please click on link below to visit April.)  She is a master when it comes to techniques, so I know you will love what she's showing off.

Have a good one and the entire list is below, just in case you need it :)
