Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Give Thanks

Hi Everyone,

DRS Designs has some lovely stamps that were just released for the upcoming holidays.  For my card today I chose the lovely Wheat Give Thanks Greeting that features a lovely large wheat image.

To show it off, after stamping it I heat embossed and die cut it, layering it onto a background that was stamped with the Long Tall Wheat.

For embellishment I added a printed ribbon, embossed a die cut leaf with glittery embossing powder and added a couple of photo corners that I punched from matching card stock.

Be sure to check out the current color challenge on the DRS Designs blog...Lots of great fall colors to inspire you to create :)

 Hope to see you there!

S'mores

Hi Everyone,

I bought all of the fixings to make Smores last week, because I wanted to be ready to go the next time we have a bonfire.  I think I've eaten more of these tasty treats as an adult than I did as a child...lol!

Since I had them on my mind, I decided to ink up some of the marshmallow stamps from DRS Designs. I may use this to invite some friends over to join us for this fall tradition :)

My background was made using the Mini Marshmallow and the Splatter Background stamp using brown and orange ink.  I stamped and die cut the S'more Greeting, adding some yellow splatters on top,

Before adhering the sentiment panel at an angle, I added a strip of orange cardstock and along with the Smooshed S'more that had been fussy cut.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

Happy Fall

Hi Everyone,

I have a clean and simple card to share with you today, inspired by the colors of the changing leaves.  I'm finally starting to see some of those beautiful colors emerge on the tree tops!

Instead of stamping my background, I used some double sided tape and super fine glitter to add color in eye catching stripes. Then I dry embossed a punched circle and layered it with the Medium Silhouette Leaf stamped in red to match my card base.

I inked up only part of the Happy Fall Y'All Greeting for my sentiment and finished it off with three matching gems.

Thanks for visiting today!

Give Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Our current challenge at the  DRS Designs blog is Autumn Wonders, so I colored up the Simply Pumpkin for my card share today.  I fussy cut it and layered it onto a die cut square, and then stamped and matted the Give Thanks Bible Verse.  Setting those aside, I dry embossed my background panel and chose to add an Argyle patterned strip.

I stamped it with the Argyle Diamond to match the colors in my card,
all the while thinking, I can't wait to start wearing my sweaters! I love argyles and plaid patterns for the fall season, both of which you can find in a stamp from DRS Designs :)

Thanks for stopping by!
