Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

From my heart to yeurs....

Hi Everyone,

DRS Designs has released some new stamps, featuring sentiments for sympathy and comfort, but I think comfort can be cheerful too. So today I'm bringing you a card that feature one of those new greetings as well as Leonard, just because he makes me happy!  And if it makes me happy, I would think that it would make the recipient of this happy as well :)

I stamped, colored and fussy cut Leonard the Pig Billboard and added the Small Silhouette Heart to his little sign, embellishing it with some glitter glue.  I layered him onto some rectangle die cuts using dimensional tape and embossed the backgrounds using 2 different heart embossing folders.

I tied a matching grosgrain ribbon around the background base and then attached the My Heart To Yours Greeting, completing the card with a few hearts that were fussy cut from the Scattered Hears stamp.

From my heart to yours, thanks so much for visiting today!

Chicks

Hi Everyone!

While Easter has come and gone, I still had one last card that I didn't share here yet, and since it's very spring themed, I thought I would sneak it in.  I think if you change up the sentiment stamp, it could be a sweet little friendship card for your bestie :)

I colored and fussy cut the Easter Sleepover stamp from DRS Designs, and adhered it onto a layered die cut circle.   For the background I used the Spring Crocus stamp, and only stamped the flower portion around the top and bottom of the paper, coloring it up using the same coordinating markers. I'm pretty sure those flowers don't come in pink, but I have it on good authority that creativity is allowed when making cards :) :) :)

The sentiment was the top portion of the Celebrate Easter Celebrate Christ stamp, which I die cut and matted before adding it to the card.

Thanks for visiting today!

Easter Blessings

Hi Everyone,

Since Easter Sunday is this weekend, I thought I would share a few Christian themed cards on the blog today.

For my first card, I used the lovely Blessed with Gifts Easter Greeting and layered it onto an embossed, dainty looking Swiss dot background.  The bottom portion of my background was made using matching colors and the Woven Plaid background stamp.

The image Easter Lily and Crosses Oval was also colored to match, and then I fussy cut it so that it could be adhered to the card.

Lastly, I added a die cut vellum flower with a gemstone center.

These next two cards were pretty simple to make, but I just loved the sentiment of the featured greeting so much, that I wanted to show it off twice :)

I used two embossing folders for this card and added a ribbon to cover up the seam, along with some glitter glue in the center of the flowers.

And for this last one, I used the same embossing folder, but I left the bottom portion plain.  I got out my scallop punch for that bottom edge, and also added a strip of glitter embellished double sided tape.  After die cutting and matting the same greeting I added an embossed cross (Darice)  that I stenciled with matching ink.

Here is the link to the Celebrate Easter Celebrate Christ Greeting and the Three Wooden Crosses from the above card.

Hope your day is filled with the blessings of Spring!

Happy Easter

Hi Everyone!

Are you as ready for spring as I am? I say it's high time for all things flowers, bunnies and eggs!  So, that's just what I used on my card today :)

I started by coloring up the new Sneaky Bunny Flower Pot image from DRS Designs, die cutting, matting it and adding a little glitter glue embellishment.  I think that little bunny is just too cute!  It's totally my favorite thing about the whole card...lol.  For the background, I used a piece of lavender card stock and my Darice Easter egg embossing folder, which I added to a light yellow card base.

I added a strip of orange flower embossed card stock, that I layered with a punched border and lace.  I did all of this to match my image and added the Happy Easter Everybunny greeting to finish it off.

I know I've said it in the past, but I love me a good punny card any day of the week!

Here's hoping the Easter bunny brings you lots of sweet treats :) :) :)
