Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Blessed by You

Edit: Edit to enter this at the Moxi Fab World blog; Inside Out Challenge.

Hello All!

I'm starting to get back into the swing of things regarding blogging and making cards. It has been a snowy weekend, with a lot of hibernation happening in my home, so I took the opportunity to get my stamps inked up.

Cinema Saturday is back with their challenges after taking a break for the holidays, and the movie is The Chronicles of Narnia. I took inspiration from the colors above and made a card using a chocolate brown and Stampin' Up's Sage Shadow. The patterned paper has sparkle on the flowers and I added a ribbon that has an iridescent shimmer to it. (Not sure how well it shows in the photo.)

I chose the above sentiment due to the hopeful message of faith in the movie; it also paired well with the inside sentiment. It will be the perfect card to keep in my stash for when I need a thank you for that special someone.

I do not care for New Years resolutions, but I decided to try one this year. It being, make one Christmas card a week. That way, by November I should have almost enough for my Christmas card list. Let's see how long I last. I'm hoping my putting this out to the blogging universe it will motivate me to follow through.
This being said, here is my first card. Who says Christmas cards have to be red and green, right? Since I had the other half of the Sage Shadow paper from the above card, I decided to try for my first card and am super pleased at how painless it was. Why not always make 2 cards?

As always, thanks for the visit and T.T.F.N. (Ta Ta for Now!)

Details-Paper: Stampin' Up!, Heidi Grace, Office Max, Martha Stewart, Ink: Stampin' Up!, Versafine, Stamps: Stampin' Up!, Papertrey Ink, Printworks, Nesties, Marvy and EK success punches, ribbon from my supplies.

WOW!!! Karin this is simply GORGEOUS!!! I absolutely LOVE the sentiment that you chose to go for the Cinema Challenge - it perfectly fits the Chronicles of Narnia - simply gorgeous!!! And I love the inside!!! Beautiful Christmas card as well! I love your New Year's Resolution to make Christmas cards every week! I did that last year and it was really amazing the relief I felt around October that I didn't have to scramble to make a jillion Christmas Cards! And the really good thing was that I used up all my scrap Christmasy Papers - so I felt guilt free in buying more!!! LOL!!! :)

So glad that you played along with us! Your card is simply gorgeous!!!
Wishing you the Very Happiest of New Years!!!!
hugs!
Sankari :)
