Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Spruced up Kitties

Hi Everyone!

Adorable.  That is the word when it comes to these Christmas Kats.  This stamp, along with the sentiment (Spruced Up) is from Scrolls Work, and I've been having the best time stamping with all my holiday stamps from there. This time of year is always the best for card making, don't you think?

I colored the kittens with pencils for a change and it gave a softer look to the image.
I was originally going to pair this sentiment with a Christmas tree stamp, but I think it works even better with these little cuties.

Here is a close up of the glossy effects I added to the ornament and the white embossing powder on the Santa hat.

Thanks for dropping by today and  visit Scrolls Work to see all their stamps for the holidays...I bet you see something you like ;)

Challenges this card is linked to are as follows-
Sentimental Sundays-1 plain paper, 2 pattened paper, 3 embellishments
Sundays with Chrissy-Sparkle and Shine
Sweet Stampin Challenge-Winter Wonderland
GingerLoft-Anything Goes

Details not listed above-Paper: The Paper Company, Paper Pizzaz, Unknown Source, Pencils: Koh-i-Noor, Ink:Stampin Up, Nesties, ribbon and rhinestones from my supplies.

These furry little friends are adorable, I love how you outlined the stamp to give it more depth, I might have to case that technique! ~Diane
