Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Coast Guard & Navy

Hi Everyone,

I was really happy to find an opportunity to stamp using a couple of the military seal stamps from DRS Designs.  They have seal stamps for each different branch, which is so cool!

After a bit of fussy cutting, the Coast Guard Seal fit right inside the Porthole stamp, and I attached that onto a dry embossed star panel.  That was attached to a background stamped with the  Interlocking Star Background, which I wrapped with twine.  I completed the card with an Anchor to match the image on the Coast Guard Seal.

This card features the Navy Seal which was heat embossed.  To the blue die cut frame, I added 2 of the Patriotic Bunting that I colored and fussy cut.  I stamped the edges of the background panel using the Starry Background stamp, and the sentiment came from the USA Home of the Brave greeting.

I'm thankful for all of our military families who sacrifice so much for us everyday.  To see all of the patriotic stamps, just click here.

Happy Stamping!

Thank You Soldiers

Hi Everyone,

With Memorial Day coming upon us, I thought a couple of cards honoring our military would be appropriate for today's card share on the blog.

I used the new Silhouette Soldiers for both of my cards.  Here I stamped and heat embossed the image and layered it onto a background that I made using Starry Background in red ink, and the

To finish it, I chose the sentiment from the bottom portion of USA Thanks to our Brave stamp.

Here I stamped the soldiers on top of the Soldiers of America Greeting, and after die cutting it, I attached it onto a background I made using the Camouflage Background.

This one was finished by adding a couple of metal brads from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by!

Follow Your Heart

Hi Everyone,

Who among us hasn't felt like the odd one of the group, right?  Well I just love this new sentiment which gives all of us permission to be ourselves :)

I began by stamping the School of Fish (W1038E), and coloring them up.   I dry embossed the wave background, and then cut a portion out of the middle for the fish to fit in between.

Stamping and die cutting the new Go with the Flow Follow Your Heart Greeting (W1049E), I attached that to the bottom of the card. To match the sentiment, I added the fish and coral from the 3 in 1 Ocean Floor (W1040H) which were fussy cut.

To finish off the card, I added a few punched hearts as bubbles.

For this card I used the same stamps, but made an underwater scene.

I stamped the Porthole (W1039L) twice, fussy cutting one to use as a mask for stamping the scene outside.  I sponged on some ink and then stamped the coral and seaweed using the 3 in 1 again.  I was afraid I wouldn't have room for the fish, so I ended up stamping and fussy cutting him to add separately.

Using the Woodgrain stamp I created the background, wrapped it with a piece of twine and used the same sentiment for the greeting.

Be sure to stop on over to DRS Designs....They will fulfill all your stamping needs and desires during this stay at home time!

Have a great day :)

Faires and Gnomes

Hi Everyone,

I have two final (well, just for now. Not forever!) fairy and gnome cards to share, and they both feature the Tiny Flying Fairy stamp.

Along with the fairy on this card, I stamped the Sleeping Gnome and Mushroom Sign Post.
I colored the scene, and paper pieced a greeting onto the sign.  I used the
Tiny Happy Belated Birthday for the greeting, masking off the belated portion.

I took the colors from my image panel and used them for my background, embossing one half and covering up the seam with a punched border and a piece of card stock stamp with the
Mushroom Line Background. I added a few gems and punched corner pieces in red for embellishment.

I took inspiration from my card last week, for an easy monochromatic card.  I dry embossed my panel using a dandelion embossing folder (Darice) and punched a window for my Tiny Flying Fairy.

The best wishes greeting came from the Engagement Wishes Greeting, and I added some silver glitter glue to finish it off.

Thanks for taking the time to visit the blog today!
