Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Smarty Pants

Good Morning!

How was your weekend?  Mine was good.  I'm going to give myself away as a total geek, but I loved watching the National Spelling Bee on Friday night :)  I look forward to it each year; maybe it's because my own spelling ability is so poor.  Thanks in part to spell check...lol. That's what technology will get ya.  I'm so out of practice and I was actually a decent speller in elementary school. (If you've never seen Spellbound, a documentary about kids and the National Spelling Bee, I highly recommend it. Totally great!)

It's been awhile since I was able to bring you a card made with my stamps from Scrolls Work, so I'm happy to be able to post this one today.

In honor of all those smarty pants kids, I made this card with this cute fella (Garrette #4042) who looks dapper and smart, hence the sentiment. (Charming Girly Quips #1462)

Well, short and sweet from me today... Thanks for stopping by :)

Challenges this is linked to are as follows:
Magical Crafts-Metal Madness

Details not listed above- Paper: DCWV, Georgia Pacific, Nesties, Punches: Stampin' Up, Ink: Versafine, Markers: Bic, Copic, ribbon and brads from my supplies.

Ohhhh that's too cute, Karin! I love the coloring you've done on this little smarty pants - and the use of that gorgeous nestie label. Lovely papers and brads!

Hi Karin, you are right on top of things. Your 'smarty pants' card is adorable and I really like the card you made with the green leaves and the gorgeous flower. Your creations always have great details and added elements.
