Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

DRS Designs Sponsors Midnight Madness

Hi Everyone!
This week DRS Designs is sponsoring the sketch challenge over at  the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  The prize being offered is a $20.00 gift certificate to the DRS Designs Store!  They have so may great stamps to choose from, that I know that you will want to play along with us this week :)

I took this opportunity to make a card for a friend who has a birthday coming up at the end of this month.  Here is the sketch I used:

And this is my take on it.  Our friend is a golfer (although with work and a child, I know he doesn't get out as much as he would like to...Isn't that always the case?) so I used the Silhouette Male Golfer along with the GOLF Frustration Greeting for a bit of humor.  I'm pretty sure he will be able to relate!

The Easy Grass Background always pairs well with so many stamps and the twine is a good masculine element on a guy card.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you can make time to play along at the Midnight Madness Challenge for your chance at a $20.00 DRS Designs gift certificate :)  Speaking of which, the new releases are here!!!

Additional challenges this card is linked to are as follows:
Cards for Men-Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion-Anything Goes
Incy Wincy-Anything Goes
Lexi Creations-Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes-For a Man
Paper Players-Anything Goes
2 Sisters-No Designer Paper
Stamp Man-For a Man
Hodge Podge Shop-Monochromatic
Creative Inspirations-Brown, Cream & Sage

This is fantastic Karin! I love how you used the silhouette gofer and the golf frustration greeting together. I still have yet to use that greeting. I might have to case that idea--hope you don't mind!?!?!?
