My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Hi Everyone!


My pick this week for Music Saves My Soul on Marcea's Blog is a song from Jill Sobule.  She is probably most well know for her song, I Kissed A Girl (Yes, she came before Katy Perry ;) or SuperModel from back in the 90's. And those are probably my least favorites of hers, but she is someone I really *heart*. Her songs are folk inspired, story driven and have satrical lyrics.  Basically smart and funny, just how I like it.

I chose this because it is a live recording, so if you don't know her, you at least get a sense of her stage presence and how much fun it is seeing her in person.

I didn't do MSMSS this week. I forgot with the holidays and all. Great pick. I have some Jill Sobule and forgot all about it. Thank you for the reminder.
