Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Hambo Challenge Time

Hi Everyone,

Wednesday means it's time for another challenge at the Hambo Hoedown blog, so grab your Hambo stamps and join in.  The theme is bright colors and paper piecing.  Can you tell what I paper pieced on my stamped image?  Yes, that darling little " ham"-mock (get it? Ha!) holding that cute hambo pig. (Hammock Pig #3417)  Man I wish I was on that little island too...I also feel the need to tell you that I'm singing "Raise Your Glass" by Pink right now...C'mon, c'mon, RAISE YOUR GLASS...

I decided to embellish my card a bit with a matching tropical (? Well, my blog so I'm calling it tropical) flower and some little hanging beads.  I recently won a voucher to The Charm Barn and those beads were one of my choices. (Cute stuff there and fast shipping!)

Don't forget about our up coming blog hop on May 20th.  You can make something and join in.  The theme is Hamming It Up at the Movies, (you know I love my movies) and all the details about signing up can be found right here.

Lastly, remember there is a DT call out for a new group of designers, so if you want to be a Bacon Bit yourself, now is the time to try out.  Deets and more can be found right here.

Ok, I guess that's it for now.  Hope you join in on the dancing (aka card making) at the Hambo Hoedown this week!

Challenges for this card:
Raise the Bar-Flower Power
Totally Paper Crafts-1 image, 2 paper, 3 embellishments(flower,ribbon, beads)
Crazy Challenge-Anything Goes

Details not listed above-Paper: The Paper Company, Cosmo Cricket, Ink: Momento, Markers: Copics, Punch: Stampin' Up, Ribbon: Darice,

LOL, that Hambo pig always makes me laugh no matter what he's doing! This time I laughed because my sona nd I were reading his Italian Picture Dictionary before bedtime and there was a scene where a little boy was spraying his father out of a hammock with a garden hose. I asked him if he'd do that to his Baba and his reply was, "No, Baba prob(ab)ly (would) not like that." LOL
