Sunshine...

Hi Everyone,

My niece graduated a little over a week ago, and the weather that day was spectacular.  Nothing but blue skies and sunshine as far as the eye could see; and as with all graduations, the day was filled with joy and hope for the future.  Those thoughts ran through my head as I was making this card that I'm sharing with you today.  

 

I started with a bright yellow base and I embossed a cloud background on a cream panel, layering it onto a piece of black to make it stand out.  I punched out a circle for the sun, attaching a yellow felt button and bit of  twine for some texture.  I then added a couple of white die cut clouds, attaching one with a dimensional dot.  I stamped the sweet Sun Shine on You Greeting recently released here at DRS Designs on matching yellow card stock, lining it also in black, for that extra pop. 

 

 

 

It need something else to balance it out, so I decided to add some yellow punched hearts to stand in for the sun's ray, finishing them off by added a bit of glitter glue.
