Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Halloween Sketch

Hi Everyone,

DRS Designs is sponoring the challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.  There's a great prize up for grabs, so I hope you can play along.

Here is this week's sketch:

And my card for inspiration:

Here is a list of the stamps I used:

What do you think of the coloring on my pumpkin?  My friend who is an actual artist moved back into town, and I had him give me some coloring/shading pointers when he was over one day.  I think it turned out better than my usual :)  I just don't know if I can duplicate it without him helping me again...lol!

Also, the current challenge over at DRS Designs is to make a card with a decorative edge.  Maybe you can incorporate both challenges into one card and have two chances to win!

Good luck!

What do I think? I think your shading is GORGEOUS! I try, too, but find each medium so unique, that shading is often a hit or miss thing with me. Your Halloweenie card is wonderfully assembled with all those panels of perfect Halloweenie colors! Very cute! (and lovely shading, yes-sir-ree!) xo
