Welcome!

My name, Karin, was pretty common when I was growing up...just not the spelling. Unless you are of German heritage like I am. So, I have spent my entire life answering the question, "What is your name"?... With, "Karin...with an "i"! Who knew it would come in handy all these years later when I went to name my blog.

Top o' the morning!

Hi Everyone,

At my friend's house this past weekend, I had my first taste if corned beef...YUM! The only time I make it is for St. Patrick's Day, so that one taste is all it took to get me thinking shamrocks and green...lol!

Today's card features a couple of new stamps from DRS Designs, Leprechaun Gold Guard which I colored with Copics and also the Shamrock Swag, which I used to create the background.

I wrapped the background panel with a bit of ribbon tied into a knot and adhered the image using pop dots. The Top O' the Morning greeting and a few dots with a gold gel pen on the coin pot completed it.

Here's wishing you a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Cheerful Smiles

Hi Everyone,
Even though this is a get well card, I'm hoping the bright colors on my card will cheer you up, even if you aren't feeling sick today :).
I used the new Cheerful Smiles Get Well greeting from DRS Designs for the front of the card and layered it on an embossed background. The bottom portion of my card has a bit of patterned paper made using the
Splatter Background stamp and red, green and yellow ink. I just stamped each color separately, cleaning my stamp off between each color application.

Not much is more cheerful than this Ladybug with Flower stamp, so I colored it to match the colors of my card, fussy cut it and added some sparkle to the center of the flower.
Wishing you sunshine and smiles!

Two Holiday Cards

Hi Everyone,

I realized that I never showed off my funny valentine card here on the blog, so since Valentine's Day is at the end of the week, you get a bonus card today :)

This was made with the really cute Skunk with Flowers stamp from DRS Designs, which was stamped, colored (Well, sort of colored! Skunks are black and white, right?) with Copic markers and die cut. I layered it on a background made with the Interlocking Heart Background and added the I Love You Greeting. To add some humor to the card I die cut some letters from red card stock and made my own little pun.

I embellished my flower centers with some Stickles and added 3 gems to balance out the card.

Second, I have a CAS St. Patrick's day card for you. I'm giving you a peek at the new
Shamrock Vine Corner stamp and as my focal image I colored up the Shamrock Circle.

After die cutting and layering the wreath I used a circle punch for the center and then added the Tiny St. Pat's Day Greeting in the center.

Just a reminder, our "Feeling Green" challenge is happening right here! We'd love for you to play along :)

Have a great day!

Under the Weather Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I'm here today to encourage you to play along in our current challenge, "Under the Weather"! If you link up your get well cards right here, you will be in the running for a $10.00 voucher to the

I used my owl punch and fashioned it into a little nurse to match the new sentiment, Hug a Nurse. I punched out the vest portion in white, turned it upside down, adding a cross and stuck it behind her head. I then mounted her on some oval die cuts.

The background papers were made using the Bandage and Interlocking Heart Background stamps and I added a button and twine for some embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
