Hi Everyone,
While the winter hasn't been super snowy for me, and I'm grateful for that, I decided to make a few cards celebrating the season. Snow outside or not, it's fun to stay inside and partake of my favorite hobby of stamping, so I hope you are inspired to get out your stamps as well.
I have a simple embossed background of poinsettias, and I colored up the Bird Feeder
stamp from DRS Designs, die cutting it and attaching it with dimensional foam tape. I wanted it to be a generic card, available to use for any occasion, so I inked up the word Greetings, from the Seas and Greetings stamp, attaching it in the same manner as my image. A few pale green gems finished it off.
Originally, I was going to pair up the Baby it's Cold Outside Greeting with a snowman stamp, but I feel like I've done that before. I chose to be a bit more creative, and took the hat and scarf elements from the Medium Mr. Snowman, and paper pieced them on to the Paper Coffee Cup,
adding some googly eyes and a small punched heart. So, it's a snowman coffee cup, I guess? Anyway, I hope you think he's as cute as I do :)
I layered everything onto a background that was stamped using the Interlocking Snow background stamp and a piece of embossed snowflake paper.
Here's to staying warm and inky this winter season...
Have a great day!
Karin
